How it started
What started as a birthday surprise became a lifelong passion for Elias. On a Sunday morning his dad drove him to Fillmore, just fifty minutes outside of Los Angeles. He was five years old and had no idea where they were going. They pulled up to his dad’s long time friend’s house and a brown Labrador Retriever came bounding toward them. His dad knelt down and said, “He’s yours. Happy Birthday.” That was the moment his love for dogs began. Years later that love turned into caring for family dogs and eventually becoming a trusted pet sitter in his community. With over six years of experience, Elias has cared for dogs of all ages and needs, from four month old puppies taking their first steps to eighteen year old dogs living their best lives. He has administered oral medications, eye drops, and insulin injections for dogs living with diabetes and other chronic conditions, and has been there for dogs through their hardest days. He knows how to take care of dogs because he has done it at every level.
But something kept showing up. Dogs were coming in with rashes, skin irritations, and conditions their owners couldn’t explain. Diets were changed. Supplements were added. Nothing worked. What was being overlooked was the environment those dogs were living in every single day, their own backyard. A yard filled with accumulated waste, harmful bacteria, and untreated surfaces was quietly affecting their health.
That realization is what drove Elias to found The Doggo Scoop. We saw a gap in the industry. Pressure washing companies focus on surfaces, turf cleaning companies focus on aesthetics, but nobody was treating the backyard as a pet health environment.
We are changing that. Through professional pet waste removal, yard deodorizing and sanitation, pressure washing, and artificial turf deep cleaning, we are bringing a health-first approach to an industry that has never prioritized it.
