What is deodorizing treatment?

Treatment that works where the smell actually lives

Scooping removes waste. It doesn’t remove what soaks into the ground underneath it. Urine, bacteria, and organic residue stay trapped in turf, soil, gravel, and concrete. We treat the source so odors stop coming back.

OUR PROCESS

How We Treat Your Yard

We scoop first

Waste removal clears the yard so treatment can work where odor builds up most.

We treat odor zones

We apply deodorizer to potty spots, turf, gravel, runs, and fence lines.

A fresher yard

The treatment helps control what scooping leaves behind, so your yard smells cleaner longer.

Our signature system

The Clean Yard Reset

A targeted deodorizing treatment designed for dog yards in Southern California.

Targets odor at the source

We treat soil, turf backing, and gravel where odor actually lives — not just the surface.

Safe for pets, turf, and grass

Made for residential pet yards, including grass, artificial turf, concrete, gravel, and patio edges.

Why it matters

Scooped doesn't mean smell-free. Here's why.

Pet waste leaves behind more than what you can see. Urine and organic residue work into the ground, and that's what keeps the smell coming back — even right after a cleanup.

  • Urine soaks into soil, turf backing, gravel, and concrete
  • Dogs reuse the same potty spots every day
  • Heat amplifies odor buildup (especially in LA summers)
  • Scooping removes waste, deodorizing handles what’s left behind

Who it's for

Is deodorizing right for you?

If any of this sounds familiar, this add-on was made for your yard.

You already scoop but still smell odor

Waste removal helps, but urine odor can settle into turf backing, soil, gravel, and patio edges.

You have artificial turf

Turf can trap odor below the surface, especially when dogs use the same spots again and again.

Multiple dogs use the same yard

More dogs means more buildup, faster odor, and a yard that needs more than basic scooping.

Smell gets worse in hot weather

Southern California heat can intensify pet odor, especially on turf, concrete, and enclosed yards.

Deodorizing questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does this replace scooping?

No. Waste removal always comes first. Deodorizing works on what's left after the scoop: the residue and odor that stays in the ground. The two services together are what make your yard genuinely fresh.

Is it safe for my dogs and kids?

Yes. We use a treatment approach designed for residential pet environments. We'll let you know when the yard is ready to use again after each visit.

Does it work on artificial turf?

Especially well. Turf backing traps urine odor more than most natural surfaces, and it doesn't respond to hosing the way grass does. Targeted treatment makes a much bigger difference on turf.

How often do I need this done?

It depends on how many dogs you have, how much they use the yard, and what surface you're working with. Many clients add it to every scoop visit. Others do it monthly or seasonally. We'll help you figure out what makes sense.

What if the smell comes back?

Some heavily used areas benefit from regular ongoing treatment rather than one-time application. We can set up a schedule that keeps the odor from rebuilding.

Can I get just deodorizing, without scooping?

We recommend combining the two for best results. Treating a yard that still has waste present reduces the effectiveness of the treatment. Ask us about options when you request a quote.
